Jessica Love is the Executive Director of Prosperity Indiana. She leads a team of public policy, engagement, communications, fundraising, operations and community development program experts.
Jessica first came to Prosperity Indiana as Senior Program Manager and provided consulting services to nonprofits and local units of government around organizational development and federal grants management. She also served as Prosperity Indiana’s Associate Executive Director, before assuming her current role.
Prior to joining Prosperity Indiana in 2010, Jessica was Program Manager for Community & Economic Development with the South Central Alabama Development Commission in Montgomery, Alabama. She provided technical assistance to local governments to address essential community development needs, working on numerous state and federally funded projects, as a successful grant writer and administrator.
Prior to her employment with SCADC, Jessica was the managing editor of The Selma Times-Journal, a daily newspaper published in Selma, Alabama. She is an Alabama native and a graduate of Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, where she studied print media and earned a Bachelor’s in Mass Communication/Journalism.
Jessica currently serves on the First Financial Bank Community Advisory Board, Indiana Nonprofits Project Advisory Board, Indiana United Way’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program, Indiana Natural Disaster Fund Grant Committee, National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations (NACEDA) Board, Renew Indianapolis Edge Fund Loan Committee, and the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank’s Community Development Advisory Council.
